Cruise setback delivered by CA DMV

The CA DMV orders Cruise driverless cars off of CA roads. The two reasons given were safety concerns and a failure to share critical information with the state.

I give the DMV credit for being bold and attempting this test allowing actual driverless vehicles on the roads. While this is a setback for autonomous vehicles, I think it is just a bump in the road (or was that a pedestrian? ;-) and that the progress will continue. Right now Tesla has a massive beta test going allowing many of its drivers to experiment with autonomous driving on city streets with an easy feedback mechanism for drivers to tell Tesla why they disengaged auto pilot.
